Annual General Meeting

The 2010 AGM for Sain Clwyd Sound will be held on Thursday18th March at 7.30 pm in the Daniel Owen Centre, Mold.

Fund Raising, collections and bequests:

The coffee morning on the 21st March raised £147 and our thanks go out to the generous attendees.

The collection at Eddie Hewins funeral totalled £218.70 in respect of his wishes that it be for Sain Clwyd Sound.

On the death of one of our Welsh listeners, Mrs E.G. Jones of Llangollen, a generous bequest of £545 was received.

Continuing thanks to our regular sponsors: Mold Rotary, Deeside Inner Wheel, Llanarmon Show and for this year Flintshire County Council Chairmans Charity.

Future Plans:

The change over to CDs from cassettes should be fully implemented by December 09, and to this end more investment in capital equipment is being made, including providing all our editors with superior digital hand-held recorders. This enables direct download of content to the studio computer where it can be editted as necessary, then burnt directly to CD for duplication on our bank of copiers.

Death of Welsh Team member

We are saddened to hear of the death of John Blythin at his home on the 9th November.
John had served for many years as one of the mainstays of the Welsh editorial and technical team and will be greatly missed.
